Huawei has launched the Honor Band 3 in India. The Honor Band 3 is the first fitness tracker that is water resistant up to 50 meters. The Honor Band 3 comes equipped with a 0.91-inch OLED display and is compatible with both Android and iOS. The band beams notifications for Facebook, SMS, calendar, and calls when synced with the smartphone via Bluetooth.
Huawei has laid some extra stress on swimming and claims that the Honor Band 3 can be used by swimmers and the custom mode will populate swim times, calories burned amongst other parameters. The Honor Band 3 is light at 18 gms and is also offers a continuous optical heart rate monitoring technology. Workout optimization is done via the five zones including warm-up, fat-burning, aerobic, anaerobic and extreme. Huawei claims that the algorithm is optimized for ten different fitness scenarios and is designed to measure the heart rate more accurately.
“Focused on innovation and customer-centricity, Honor is committed to introducing meaningful products. Wearable technology is changing the world really fast as they provide us with vital information that can help us live better. The new Honor Band 3 is equipped with smart technology to help people use intelligent trackers to keep a close watch on their fitness statistics.”- Sanjeev P, Vice-President Sales Huawei.
The Honor Band 3 will be Amazon exclusive and will be available starting from today priced at Rs 2,799. As far as colors are concerned the band will be available in Dynamic Orange, Classic Navy Blue and Carbon Black Color. TruSleep is yet another mention worthy feature that tracks light, deep and REM sleep cycle as well. The battery on the Honor Band 3 is rated to last for 30days. I personally feel that the sticker price will do all the difference for Honor Band 3, frankly speaking in the sub 3K range buyers don’t have too many options except the Goqii Band and the Mi Band 2.
