Motorola is setting up its users with yet another Moto Mod. This time around the Moto Mod is a Verizon exclusive. The Gamepad mod extends to both sides of your phone and comes with the typical gaming joystick controls. Design-wise, the Gamepad Moto Mod reminds me of the Nintendo switch. The add-on will be available from 25 of August and is priced at $79.99. Despite being sold exclusively at Verizon, the Moto Mod Gamepad will probably be also sold to customers on other carrier networks at a later date.
The Gamepad makes use of the Moto Mods pin at the back, and the smartphone is directly connected to the phone. This is a sigh of relief as opposed to the Bluetooth connections, something I have always found out to be unreliable during gameplay. One has to admit that the Moto Z Series looks suave with the Gamepad Mod. The controller offers a D-Pad and dual control sticks. That apart it would have been great if Motorola was working with game developers to fine tune their game for the controllers, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
A major chunk of the Android games are not well suited for controllers, and the quality of the game is also something that is debatable. In such a case it makes us wonder whether or not buyers will find the $79.99 price tag worthy. Moving on, the Gamepad Mod comes with a 1035mAh battery that is rated to last for eight hours. The void in the portable gaming industry is pretty obvious, and if you want to make your own makeshift arrangement, then the Motorola Gamepad is probably the best bet. The Moto Z2 Force is currently being offered for as little as $15/month for 24 months. The best part, however, is that when all the installments for the phone are made the user will be treated with a free Insta-Share Projector Mod.
