It’s this time of the year that most of us wait for Apple to unveil the iterative upgrade for its iPhones. Apple has now scheduled the product announcement on 12th of September, and it’s most likely that the company will also launch an upgrade for the Apple Smartwatch as well.
We have already been subjected to a handful of rumors, leaks, and renders. At this juncture, all of the speculated information points out at the possibility that Apple will be launching three iPhones this year. The addition will be the iPhone 8 which apart from being the most expensive iPhone is also the first Apple product to sport a bezel-less display. The rumor mills have also been speculating a facial recognition feature that would help users unlock their phones faster than the TouchID.
Well, there also seems to be a slight change in the launch venue, until now Apple was making use of the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, but now the company is mulling over using the Steve Jobs theatre in its new headquarters, yes the one that seats 1000 people. That being said the new campus is still under construction and this might have an effect on Apple’s final decision as far as venue is concerned.
Apple is yet to reveal the timing and the location. On the hitherto, Apple has apparently ramped up its production and is expanding from China to other manufacturing plants as well. This aligns with the possibility that Apple is trying to match the likely demand in sales, thanks to the incoming holiday season.
The Apple Watch 3 is expected to be the first watch from the company that will sport an LTE chip. This will eventually reduce the reliance of the watch over the iPhone. As per Analysts, a whopping 52% of the people who are due for an upgrade is waiting for the iPhone and this apparently is the highest numbers since 2010. Needless to say, the expectation and the anticipated surge in demand is propelling Apple Stocks higher.
