Huawei is on the verge of launching its new Mate 10 lineup next month in Munich. Just a few day back, Evan Blass, a reputed industry tipster revealed that Huawei would launch not only one, but three smartphones under its flagship Mate 10 range. While details of two of these smartphones have already leaked, the third one codenamed Alps has remained pretty elusive. Now, a mysterious Huawei RNE-AL00 smartphone has been spotted on TENAA website. So does this device have anything to do with the third member of the Huawei Mate 10 lineup?
The Huawei RNE-AL00 listed on the Chinese certification website has a lot in common with the Mate 10 series. Especially its display. As per the TENAA listing, the smartphone comes with a 5.99 inch Full HD+ (2,160 x 1,080p) display. Additionally, the display features an 18:9 aspect ratio and is flanked by ultra-narrow bezels. For those unaware, all three smartphones of the Huawei Mate 10 lineup are expected to come with a similar display technology. The Huawei Mate 10 Alps is in fact rumored to come with a 5.88-inch display.
Under the hood, the Huawei RNE-AL00 is powered by a 2.36GHz octa core processor. It is highly likely that the chip is made by none other than Hi-Silicon; the in-house brand responsible for producing SoCs for Huawei’s smartphone range. Apparently, the recently announced Kirin 970 chip; that’s said to power the Huawei Mate 10 series comes with a similar specification. For those unaware, Huawei’s flagship chip comprises of four Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and a four other Cortex A53 cores at 1.8GHz. That said, we don’t have enough evidence to confirm the chip inside the Huawei RNE-AL00, but chances of that happening are quite high. Moreover, the leaked smartphone features 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. These specifications too correspond with that of the rumored Huawei Mate 10 variant.
The Huawei RNE-AL00 boasts of a dual rear camera setup. The TENAA listing reveals that the rear sensor is comprised of 16MP and 2MP sensors working in tandem. On top of that, the front of the smartphone also bears a dual front camera setup consisting of 13MP and 2MP sensors. Besides, the mysterious RNE-AL00 packs a 3,240mAh battery on the inside. There’s also a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the smartphone.
The alleged Mate 10 variant aka. Huawei RNE-AL00 comes in Black, Blue and Gold color hues. It runs on Android Nougat 7.1 with EMUI 6.0 on top. A popular Chinese website Anzhou on the other hand, believe that the Huawei RNE-AL00 is none other than the upcoming Huawei Maimang 6. For those unaware, the Huawei Maimang smartphone range is exclusive to China. Huawei, however, launches the smartphone globally, but under a different name. The Huawei Maimang 5 was apparently announced internationally as the Huawei G9. Nonetheless, the mysterious smartphone is expected to go official soon.
