Xiaomi has announced a new 50-inch Mi TV. With the new 50-inch Mi TV 4A in place, the lineup now has a total of six variants with sizes varying from 32-inch to 65-inch. The new 50-inch Mi TV 4A is cosmetically similar to the last years Mi TV 4A lineup. Priced at $372 the new Mi TV 4A offers voice recognition technology. Xiaomi is already accepting preorders for the Mi TV 4A and the TV will be launched in China on January 23.
The 50-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 4A features a 4K UHD display panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz. The device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Amlogic L962 processor that is clocked at 1.5GHz and is paired with ARM Mali 450 graphics unit and a 2GB of RAM. The Mi TV 4A also supports HDR10+ and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma.) The remote also comes with an air mouse capability that lets you browse content easily. The best part, however, is that the remote can be used to control other Xiaomi devices that are connected to the same WiFi network.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4A comes with the frameless design and is offered with the integrated Mi TV bar. On the audio front, the device supports Dolby Atmos with 2 speakers pointed upwards for an immersive 3D sound experience. Furthermore, the Mi TV Bar adds up with 10 speakers, two satellite speakers and also a subwoofer.
Connectivity options on the Mi TV 4A include Bluetooth 4.2LE, 2X USB, 3X HDMI, Ethernet, AV input and an S/PDIF audio output. Last year Xiaomi had announced the Mi TV 4 lineup at the CES. As with all the other variants, the 50-inch Mi Tv 4A also comes with the PatchWall AI, a feature aimed at serving curated content to the viewers. Xiaomi has priced the Mi TV 4A at CNY 2,399 (apprx.$372/ Rs 23,700) and is offering an additional CNY 100 discount to those who preorder.
