Lenovo has debuted its new Yoga 920 Vibes Limited Edition 2-in-1 notebook in India. It’s a part of the Chinese OEM’s flagship Yoga series. Naturally, the new laptop costs a bomb and is priced at Rs 1,27,150. The price is, however, exclusive of GST. The Lenovo Yoga 920 series was initially announced at the IFA Berlin 2017.
The Lenovo Yoga 920 Vibes improves on the slim metal profile of the original 920 by adding a layer of glass cladding on the top cover. This gives the 2-in-1 an even more premium outlook. Moreover, the convertible features a watchband hinge that initially debuted with the Yoga 3 Pro back in 2014. It comes in three colors namely Platinum, Bronze, and Copper. Lenovo further reveals that the Yoga 920 Vibes’ design has been crowdsourced through a contest featuring some of the world’s most ambitious trendsetters. The Yoga 920 Vibes weighs up at 1.37kg and is just 13.95mm thick. Being a convertible, it can be used in a number ways including laptop mode, stand mode, tablet and binge-watching modes.
Coming to the specifications, the Lenovo Yoga 920 Vibes features a compact 13.9-inch UHD IPS (3,840 x 2,160p) display. It’s a touchscreen display with 178-degree viewing angle and razor-thin borders. Lenovo is including a Bluetooth based Active Pen with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity to full use the display on the new notebook. Underneath the hood, the Lenovo Yoga 920 Vibes Limited Edition packs an 8th gen quad-core Intel Core i7 chip with UHD 620 graphics. The all-new chip is clubbed with a 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD storage.
The Lenovo Yoga 920 Vibes comes with a backlit keyboard and JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos certification. The convertible is powered by a 70Wh battery that’s capable of delivering up to 10.8 hours of battery life. The all new power efficient 8th gen Intel Core processor has much to do with the long battery life of this new 2-in-1. The Yoga 920 Vibes comes with two Thunderbolt USB C port, one USB 3.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also features a Fingerprint sensor incorporated into the trackpad.
Speaking at the launch, Rajesh Thandani, Executive Director, Consumer Business and E-commerce, Lenovo India said, “The YOGA brand has been central to Lenovo’s leadership in the fastest growing PC category of convertibles. Yoga 920 is an ultra-premium convertible that packs the best of features in an unbelievably thin and light metal body. It captures the essence of Lenovo’s effort to give customer-centric products that are different, disruptive and innovative and solve real computing, entertainment and mobility issues, in style.”
