Asus has launched the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) at an event in India. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro offers a rear dual camera unit and also a FullView display of 18:9 aspect ratio. Asus had already revealed some of the specifications as part of the press conference hosted by Flipkart last week. The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) runs on stock Android Oreo 8.1 for the bloat-free experience and timely updates. The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is available in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) comes equipped with a 5.99-inch FullView FHD+ Display set at an aspect ratio of 18:9 and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers a choice between 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 2TB of additional storage. It’s worth noting that Asus has baked in a triple tray slot that accommodates dual SIM cards and also offers a dedicated microSD card slot.

The rear camera on the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is a dual lens unit that is made up of a 13-Megapixel sensor and a 5-Megapixel sensor. The front camera/selfie camera is an 8-Megapixel unit with a soft LED flash. Other camera options include a bokeh mode and a portrait mode as well. Asus has also designed the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) lens unit in such a way that it fits flush with the body with no protrusion whatsoever.

Asus has also worked on the audio front. The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) comes with a five magnet speaker along with NXP smart amplifier. The 5-magnet speaker unit is expected to deliver a better audio experience with increased loudness and clarity. As far as battery is concerned Asus has opted for a 5,000mAh battery that supposedly charges 30-mins faster than its competitors despite the larger capacity. Furthermore, the battery is rated to offer 42 hours of talk time on the 3G network and up to 199 hours of music playback.

Asus has partnered with Vodafone and Flipkart. The offers are as follows,

  • Vodafone prepaid users will get an additional data of 10GB/Month for recharges above Rs 199. Meanwhile, the Postpaid users will also get 10GB of free data for Vodafone Red 399 and apart from that, the buyer will also get two years of Vodafone Red Protection free of cost.

  • No Cost EMI on Credit Cards

The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) in Deepsea Black and Gray will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from May 3rd. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. The 6GB/128GB variant will be announced at a later time. Asus has announced promised updates to Android P and Android Q for the ZenFone Max Pro M1.
