Finally, the Xiaomi Mi8 will see the light of the day. Not even a day is left for the launch of Xiaomi’s most anticipated flagship smartphone. The Chinese OEM will be announcing the Mi8 smartphone alongside the Mi Band 3 and MIUI 10 in Shenzhen, China; which made us believe that the device will be exclusively available in its homeland, at least for the initial period.
Xiaomi Mi8 Launching in India?
Now, an official teaser has been posted by Xiaomi on Reddit showing eight famous monuments from various countries around the globe. From what it seems like, Xiaomi is planning to provide a hint towards it plan of revealing the Chinese brand’s plans to roll out its flagship smartphone in a total of eight countries. India is apparently a part of these eight countries. Apart from it, the other seven countries include Egypt, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Russia and Vietnam. Incidentally, Xiaomi recently expanded its market presence in Europe by recently setting up operation in Italy last week.
The Xiaomi Mi5 was the last flagship Mi series smartphone from the Chinese OEM that made its way to India. Manu Jain led Xiaomi India instead decided to introduce its Mi MIX 2 as its flagship offering for 2017. Just in case the recent teaser comes out to be true then we can expect the Mi8 to replace the Mi MIX 2 as the costliest smartphone in the country.
Xiaomi is expected to make major improvements in the upcoming flagship aka. the Mi 8. It not only sports a new Snapdragon 845 processor but also comes with a ton of features which includes 3D facial recognition, Animoji and much more.
With the Xiaomi Mi 8 making its way to India, we can expect the OnePlus 6 to run for its money. It would also provide stiff competition to counterparts which include but is not limited to Samsung Galaxy S9, LG V30 and Google Pixel 2 XL.
