If you are an avid traveler or planning your maiden trip abroad, you might be aware that a Visa is on the top of the list of most important documents that one needs to carry along. Depending on the Passport Index of your home country, your Visa requirements could differ. The higher the Passport Index for your Passport, the more countries you can visit without requiring a Visa. Or in some instance, an e-Visa or a Visa on Arrival.
Until now, it was a tedious process to find out the countries you could visit without having to apply for a Visa with very little tools available online. But with this new service called VisaList, travel planning is soon going to be a delight, relatively at least. Available in the form of a website, VisaList allows users to find out the Visa requirements for different countries based on their home country. In addition to that, it also provides insights into the country and also shows a list of all the required documents that you need to carry along to visit the country.
Using VisaList is simple, all you need to do is visit the website and enter your home country. Once done, the website shows a list of all the countries you can visit categorized into different types of Visa requirements. To make things more intuitive, the website pulls-up an intuitive map which is color-coded into various Visa categories to make it easy for users to determine the different countries they can visit.
For making shortlisting of countries easier, the website provides a filter option, which allows users to find countries according to the Visa requirements for each. In addition to getting Visa requirements, the website also provides a detailed information card for the country that is selected. From the list of countries provided, users can also tap on the country they wish to go to, and the website shows a few additional details like the ‘Currency’, ‘Visa Validity’, ‘Max Stay’, etc depending on your home country passport.
As it stands, VisaList provides information for around 238 countries, with more countries getting added to the list every week. As stated by the developer on Product Hunt, VisaList is still getting developed, and people who come across a bug or have any suggestions for improving the service can report it there.
So if you’re planning to go on a vacation abroad, you must definitely check out VisaList to be well informed on the Visa requirements. Personally, it was an eye-opener for me, as an Indian, to know that I could visit like 27 countries without a visa, 34 countries with Visa on arrival and 18 countries with an e-Visa.
