Along with the K20 and K20 Pro smartphones, Redmi has also launched its 14-inch laptop, namely the RedmiBook 14 with emphasis on its light weight along with providing powerful performance. The RedmiBook, as with most other Redmi products has been priced extremely competitively for what it offers.

As the name suggests, the RedmiBook 14 has a 14-inch display on the front with thin bezels and weighs in at just 1.5Kg making it extremely compact and portable. Even while being thin and portable, the RedmiBook 14 does not skimp out on essential ports and provides users with 2 full sized USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, a full-sized HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The internals on the RedmiBook 14 are quite powerful too. The processor is Intel’s 8th generation Core-i7 8565U supported by the Nvidia MX250 for dedicated graphics performance. There’s 8GB of RAM onboard along with 512GB of SSD storage. There’s also support for dts audio via speakers. Redmi also emphasized on the cooling aspect of the laptop which has been addressed with special care to avoid throttling. The size of the vents is considerably higher when compared to similarly sized laptops which helps with better heat dissipation.

The laptop is constructed entirely out of metal and provides a premium feel and finish. The RedmiBook will be made available in various configurations starting from the i5 variant with 256GB of SSD storage which will retail for 3999 Yuan (Rs. 40,000/$579), followed by the i5 variant with 512GB of SSD storage for 4299 Yuan (Rs. 43,000/$625) and the top-end i7 variant with 512GB of SSD storage will retail for 4999 Yuan (Rs. 50,000/$725).

As with the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones, the availability of the RedmiBook 14 as well is limited to just Mainland China as of now, and there is no official word as to if/when the devices will be made available in global markets.
