Xiaomi has today launched its newest iteration of smart band, the Mi Band 4, at the ‘Smarter Living 2020’ event in India. The band has already been launched in China a few months back and comes with a bunch of updates and improvements over its predecessor, the Mi Band 3. So, let’s dive in and look at the smart band in detail.

Mi Band 4: Design and Display

In terms of design, the Mi Band 4 features a 0.95-inch colored AMOLED display with a 2.5D glass on top and a screen resolution of 240 x 120 pixels, which makes it around 39.9% bigger than the previous model. It offers up to 5ATM (50 meters) of water resistance and comes in five different color options: Black, Brown, Blue, Orange, and Pink.

Mi Band 4: Hardware

The band features 6-axis high-precision sensors that allow it to recognize and track different types of activities. It comes with a 135mAh battery which can last for up to 20 days on a single charge. Talking about other hardware specifications, the Mi Band 4 comes with 512KB of RAM and 16MB of internal storage. Additionally, it also includes Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Microphone, Heart rate sensor, Tri-axis Accelerometer + Tri-axis Gyro, and Capacitive Wear Monitoring Sensor. The band has a companion app, called Mi Fit, which can be used to keep track of all the information and progress directly on the phone.

Mi Band 4: Features

As mentioned above, the band comes with 6-axis high-precision sensors. These sensors allow it to track six different types of workout modes like treadmill, exercise, outdoor running, cycling, walking, pool swimming; count steps, distance, and calories burned. It also helps in tracking health, and provides notifications for workout completion, goal setting, sleep monitoring, 24×7 heart rate monitoring, all-day heart rate checking, resting heart rate, heart rate chart, and idle alerts. The band comes with Music Control that makes it easy to control music during workouts. Additionally, it also comes with unlimited watch faces and the ability to create custom ones as well.

The Mi Band 4 is priced at INR 2299. It will go on sale in India starting September 19 on Mi Home, Amazon.in, and mi.com.
