Samsung has announced the prices for its latest flagship smartphones in India, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. However, there’s no word about the Galaxy Z Flip in the country yet which is slightly disappointing for consumers who were waiting to get their hands on the latest foldable from the brand.
Looks like their main focus is on the S20 series, and the limited stock of the Z Flip can also be a factor as to why it may be coming to India at a later stage. Also, since Samsung manufactures its phones locally, India may not be having the facility to manufacture the Z Flip which can also be a factor contributing to the delay. Anyhow, let’s focus on the Galaxy S20 series for now.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy S20, which is the most affordable of the three will be available to purchase for a price of Rs. 66,900. The variant in India would come with the Exynos 990 chipset and a 4G modem instead of the 5G enabled models in the US, hence reducing the overall price to lesser than its US counterparts. The camera setup on the rear can achieve a zoom of up to 30X with the 64MP telephoto lens which is a highlight of the S20 and S20+. It comes with a 6.2-inch display with the new 120Hz refresh rate. Pre-booking starts today at 12 PM and the phone starts shipping on March 6.
Samsung Galaxy S20+ Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy S20+ is identical to the S20 except for a bump in the screen size, a larger 4500mAh capacity battery, and the addition of a fourth ToF camera on the rear. It will also sport the same Exynos 990 chipset and the ability to zoom up to 30X with the 64MP telephoto lens. The Galaxy S20+ will retail for Rs. 73,999 in India and is available for pre-order starting today at 12 PM. As with the S20, deliveries will begin starting March 6.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy S20 Ultra is the big boy. It has an almost-7-inch display, a 108MP primary camera with up to 100X space zoom, and a mammoth 5000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. The S20 Ultra LTE will be the version launched in India and the price starts from Rs. 92,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage with pre-orders starting today at 12 PM and delivery beginning from March 6.
If you pre-book the Galaxy S20, you will be eligible to get the Galaxy Buds+ for a price of Rs. 2,999 along with Samsung Care+ which is an accidental protection plan for Rs. 1,999. Pre-booking the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra will help you shed Rs. 1,000 more on the Galaxy Buds+ and you can get them for Rs. 1,999. The Samsung Care+ plan will cost the same.
