Poco X3 with Snapdragon 732G and 6000mAh Battery Launched in India
Misses out on NFC and gains extra battery
Poco has today announced a new smartphone in its X series lineup, the Poco X3. The X3 is a successor to the Poco X2 that was launched in February this year. It is a slightly tweaked version of the Poco X3 NFC that was unveiled in the European market earlier this month except for a few changes. Let’s dive in to check out the specifications and the differences.
Poco X3: Design and Display
The Poco X3 NFC comes with a new design that features a Poco branding at the center, aligned vertically, with two vertical lines running on either side. It features a distinct camera appearance, with the sensors arranged inside a rectangular housing and a circular ring around its periphery. Poco X3 comes in two colors: Shadow Gray and Cobalt Blue.
On the front, the device has a 6.67-inch LCD with an FHD+ screen resolution and HDR10 support. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Besides, the display is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified and has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
Poco X3: Performance
At its core, the Poco X3 runs on the latest Snapdragon 732G chipset. The 732G is an octa-core chipset that offers up to 2.3GHz of clock speed and has the Adreno 618 GPU to handle graphics processing. There is 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card). To power the internals, the device includes a 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, which is bigger than the Poco X3 NFC variant that comes with a 5160mAh battery.
As for other specifications, the X3 offers support for dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 5.1. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication. It comes with dual stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also has support for HiFi audio and aptX HD codec. The X3 runs on Android MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Poco X3: Camera
Talking about cameras, the Poco X3 sports a quad-camera setup on the rear with an LED flash. This setup includes a 64MP (f/1.89) primary Sony IMX682 sensor, accompanied by a 13MP (f/2.2) 119-deg ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Towards the front, the device has a 20MP (f/2.2) camera for selfies.
Poco X3: Pricing and Availability
The Poco X3 comes in three variants: 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, and is priced at Rs 16,999, Rs 18,499 and Rs 19,999 respectively. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart with the first sale on 29th September at 12PM.
