If you don’t live in Japan and you are a Star Wars fan here is some bad news for you, Japanese mobile carrier SoftBank has announced a new Star Wars phone that will come in two variants, Dark and Light side editions. As expected the phones will be loaded to the brim with Star Wars stuff and apart from the Star Wars logo and the back it pretty much looks like an ordinary phone. The new phones are more of a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story merchandise and thus a treat to the fan following. Before you start wondering, the Star Wars phones are made by Sharp and come with specs that are kind of modest specs, but again I always expect the worst of specs in special edition phones like these.

The Star Wars phone are equipped with a 5.3-inch FHD IGZO display and is powered by the Snapdragon 820 coupled with a 3GB of RAM. On the storage front, the phones offer 32GB of storage and a microSD card that can increase the memory further. The camera offering includes a 22.6-Megapixel primary sensor. The phone is pretty thin at 7.6mm and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. Also, one can enjoy live shows on the go since the device comes equipped with a TV Tuner.

Moving on, here is the stash of Star Wars goodies that one would be getting when they buy this phone, Live Wallpaper that mimics X-Wing or a TIE fighter cockpit, exclusive metal figurines from Rogue One, preloaded Star Wars card game with a gold card pack and a clock app with a Star Wars theme. Also, the phones come loaded with Star Wars Emoji and Star Wars ringtones. The phones will be up for sale from December 2nd in Japan and well it’s only for Japan so if you are not in Japan stop dreaming. If you are a die-hard Star Wars fan and cannot simply resist anything that has Star Wars in it the new smartphones are made just for you.
