Oppo has finally announced the F11 Pro smartphone at an event in Mumbai today. The announcement marks the tenth anniversary of the company and the global launch of the F11 Pro. Among the various offerings on the device, some of the most highlighting ones include a 48MP dual camera setup on the rear, a pop-up selfie camera, Helio P70 chipset, and Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 fast charge technology.
In terms of design, the Oppo F11 Pro comes with a 3D gradient glass-finish casing on the back that provides two eye-catching color variants: Aurora Green and Thunder Black. On the front, it has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ panoramic display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. There is no notch on the display, and the company manages to do an excellent job of shrinking down the head and chin on display, which it says is possible due to the panoramic display.
Under the hood, the F11 Pro is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P70 chipset along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card). The device runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by an impressive 4000mAh battery, with support for Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 fast charge technology. For authentication, the device uses a fingerprint scanner, located on the back.
In terms of optics, the F11 Pro sports a dual camera set up on the rear with a 48MP (f/1.79) primary sensor and a 5MP secondary depth sensor. On the front, the device comes with a 16MP (f/2.0) pop-up camera that Oppo calls the ‘rising’ camera, for selfies.
Alongside the F11 Pro, Oppo also unveiled the F11. For the most part, both the F11 Pro and F11 come with the same set of specifications, except for the 16MP pop-up camera, which in case of the F11 is the same 16MP camera, encapsulated by a waterdrop notch at the top, and a slightly larger 4020mAh battery, instead of the 4000mAh, found on the F11 Pro. Additionally, the F11 comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card), compared to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage on the F11 Pro. Similar to the F11 Pro, which comes with a gradient color finish on the back, the F11 also gets a double gradient back with two color options: Fluorite Purple and Marble Green. The Oppo F11 is priced at Rs 19990, however, there is no word from the company on its availability.
