Coolpad, one of the new Chinese OEMs, has launched the Note 3 smartphone for the Indian market and has partnered with Amazon for the sales. The Coolpad Note 3 is equipped with a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with a 3GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, the device comes with a 13-Megapixel primary snapper and a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor. The Coolpad Note 3 offers 16GB of internal storage along with an microSD card that can accommodate another 64GB of memory. The device boasts of all the connectivity features including 4G LTE and Dual SIM connectivity.

The USP of device is definitely the price point. At Rs 8,999 (~$140), Coolpad Note 3 might very well be the most affordable phone to come with a fingerprint scanner. That’s right, the Note 3 comes with a fingerprint scanner along with a 360-degree finger rotation capability. The device is backed up by 3,000 mAh battery pack and runs on Android 5.1 with the company’s Cool UI 6.0. Although Coolpad had made a foray into the Indian market with Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 in association with Dazen, this is the first time the company is going solo.

The Coolpad Note 3 will face competition from the likes of Yu Yureka Plus and Lenovo K3 Note, but it hopes to top the race with the class leading features which will give buyers a bang for their buck. The Coolpad Note 3 will come in white color and will be made available on Amazon.in through the flash sales, which will start from October 20th. That being said the registrations for the sale have already started. Stay tuned to TechPP for the review in coming days.
