Fitbit Announces Four new ‘Affordable’ Wearables
Following the success of its smart-wearable devices, Fitbit has today announced four new wearables, Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, Fitbit Inspire, Fitbit Inspire HR, and Fitbit Ace 2, that offer better health and fitness accessibility at relatively affordable prices. The new wearables aim at expanding the Fitbit-family of smart devices, with affordable prices that cater to people on strict budgets.
Fitbit Versa Lite Edition
The Fitbit Versa Lite Edition is a new addition to the Fitbit Versa family, which is an everyday smartwatch with some of the core Versa features including automatic activity, PurePulse 24/7 heart rate and Sleep Stages tracking, 15+ goal-based exercise modes, connected GPS, smartphone notifications, and many more. It comes with a simple one-button, lightweight, swim-proof design in white, lilac, mulberry, marina blue, and charcoal color options.
Additionally, its accessories are made up of stain-resistant, swim-ready, and comfortable classic silicone bands, and can be bought in marina blue, mulberry, scarlet, sunshine, lilac and charcoal colors, along with sports colors like navy and pink, navy and mulberry, navy and orange, and black and grey.
Fitbit Inspire and Fitbit Inspire HR
Fitbit claims that Inspire HR is their most-affordable 24/7 heart rate tracking device. It comes with an all-day automatic activity, exercise and Sleep Stages tracking, connected GPS, and a few more features, and is specifically for people who are new with wearables and want a fitness tracker that is not heavy on their pockets. Both, the Fitbit Inspire and Fitbit Inspire HR feature a new modern design with a touchscreen display and smart notification, which is swim-proof and comfortable to wear for long hours with up to five days of battery life. Both bands come in black, lilac, and two-tone black and white colour options, with accessories made out of classic stain-resistant silicone, available in black, lilac and white, classic elastomer sangria, and in printed lilac bloom and soft pink deco.
Fitbit Ace 2
The Fitbit Ace 2 is specifically designed for kids, aged 6+, to allow them to learn healthy habits in their early stages of life and spend more time with their family and friends. It comes with a swim-proof design, along with a bumper around the corner to protect the screen, taking into consideration various kid-related activities. The device is offered in kid-friendly colours with patterned-design accessories like the watermelon colour with teal clasp or night sky colour with neon yellow clasp. Additionally, the Fitbit Ace 2 accessories come in classic silicone bands in kid-friendly grape, the night sky and neon yellow, and watermelon and teal colours. To be able to keep track of activities, parents need to create a Fitbit family account, in order to set up the Ace 2 with their child’s account.
Talking about the launch of the new wearables, James Park, Co-founder and CEO of Fitbit said – “Since founding Fitbit almost 12 years ago, we’ve focused on making health fun and achievable for everyone – regardless of fitness level or goals. Today we have a growing, supportive community of more than 27 million active users1 around the world who are getting more active, sleeping better, reducing stress, managing weight and getting healthier from being ‘on Fitbit,’ which is a testament to the power of our platform and our consistent innovation across our devices, software features and mobile app experience.”
