Alongside the Huawei Watch GT, Huawei has also launched the Band 3e and Band 3 Pro in India. Both bands offer water resistance, activity tracking, and notifications, with the cheaper of the two, the Band 3e priced at Rs 1,699 and the one with a better display (AMOLED over pOLED), and a few added advantages, the Band 3 Pro, priced at Rs 4,699.
Huawei Band 3e
In terms of design, the Huawei Band 3e features a 0.5-inch POLED display, with a new Footwear Mode, that allows it to be attached to a shoe to track data with the press of a button. It comes with 50metre water resistance, to allow you to track activity while working out or swimming. Additionally, the band also monitors the foot strike patterns, which helps to prevent heel injuries by avoiding heel-strike. For monitoring accurately, it uses a built-in 6-Axis Gyroscope based sensor in Footwear Mode to provide data with 97% accuracy, as claimed by the company.
For connectivity, the Band 3e uses with Bluetooth 4.2 and is compatible with Android devices running on Android 4.4 or later and iOS devices running on iOS 9.0 or later. It also comes with Pedometer, Sleep Tracker, Exercise Tracker, Sedentary reminder, and 77mAh battery that provides up to 14 days of use on a single charge.
Huawei Band 3 Pro
The Huawei Band 3 Pro is a bit on the pricey-end, with a 0.95-inch AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved design. It features a soft silicone strap with a metal frame all-around to give the band an ergonomic fit on the wrist. It uses Huawei’s TruSeen 3.0 to precisely monitor your heart, using an IR light and intelligent AI. For activity monitoring, the Band 3 Pro comes with a built-in GPS, that lets you know your current location while on the run and also provides real-time evaluation of your training. The design of the band is swim-proof, with 50metre of water-resistance offered, along with swimming data like calories, number of turns and average SWOLF, to allow you to improve our swimming skills.
Similar to the Band 3e, the Band 3 Pro also uses Bluetooth 4.2 and can be connected to an Android device running on Android 4.4 or later and iOS devices running on iOS 9.0 or later. It comes with 6-axis sensors; an infrared wearing detection sensor, along with Pedometer, Sleep Tracker, Exercise Tracker, and Sedentary reminder, similar to the Band 3e. The band provides you notifications for incoming calls and messages and also offers a call-mute function. And to power everything, it has a 100mAh battery, that the company says, could last 7 hours with GPS use.
Huawei Band 3e and Band 3 Pro Price and Availability
The Huawei Band 3e comes in five colors: Black, Pink, Orange, Grey, and Cyan, and is priced at Rs 1,699, whereas, the Band 3 Pro comes is only available in three color options: Obsidian Black, Space Blue, and Quicksand Gold, and costs Rs 4,699. Both the bands are expected to go on sale in India soon, but there is no official word from the company yet.
