Realme Buds Air: Design

The Realme Buds Air features a full-arc design and weighs in at around 4.16 gm (single earbud). Realme says, the design, along with that weight proportion, allows for a comfortable fit in the ear and makes the buds easy to wear for a longer time. The earbuds come in three color options: White, Yellow, and Black.

Realme Buds Air: Hardware

The Realme Buds Air is powered by Realme’s custom R1 chip at its core and uses Bluetooth 5.0 to offer a faster and stable connection between the earbuds and the phone. It comes with real-time dual-channel transmission to allow both earbuds to function independently. Additionally, it also has a dedicated Gaming Mode, which, according to the company, reduces latency by 51% to ensure the audio and video are in sync. Further, the earbuds feature Realme’s custom DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost) solution to offer better-optimized sound experience and also have two microphones that help in offering ENC (Environment Noise Cancellation). Realme says the ENC technology works by identifying and filtering out noise in the background.

As for other hardware specifications, the Realme Buds Air support both wired and wireless charging (Qi wireless charging). The earbuds come with a wireless charging case — to charge the earbuds wirelessly and also include a USB Type-C port for wired charging. Realme claims the earbuds can last through 17 hours of music playback time (at 50% volume) on a single charge.

Realme Buds Air: Features

The Realme Buds Air comes with a bunch of nifty features, such as touch controls, built-in Google Assistant, auto connection, and more. To begin with, the earbuds offer easy pairing with the phone using the provided button on top of the case. Once paired with a device, the earbuds automatically connect to the device as soon as the case is opened. The earbuds feature smart in-ear detection, which, just as it sounds, automatically pauses/resumes music when earbuds are put in and out of the ear. There is also support for touch controls on earbuds to allow for easy operations. For instance, double click to answer calls/play, pause music, triple-click to skip tracks, long press on one earbud to launch voice assistant/ end, reject calls, and long press on both earbuds to enter/exit gaming mode.
