Lenovo Legion 7i

To start with, Lenovo suggests that the Legion 7i is built with premium style and performance in mind, and it targets those who want a high-performance machine that can be used for gaming and other resource-intensive tasks. The laptop is made of an aluminum chassis and comes in at a 19.9mm thickness and weighs around 2.2Kg. Since it is a gaming laptop, there are certain gaming attributes, such as new lighting accents with integrated light accents on the top cover, among others.

Lenovo Legion 7i

The Legion 7i comes with an IPS display with FullHD resolution with 100% Adobe sRGB color gamut and Dolby Vision support. There are narrow bezels on all four sides, which accounts for an 85.6% screen-to-body ratio. What’s more, the display offers a 144Hz refresh rate with NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology. Under the hood, the laptop runs on the 10th-Gen Intel Core i9 H-series processors with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GPU for graphics processing. To power the internals, there is an 80WHr battery, which the company suggests offers up to 8 hours of battery life and includes features to enhance battery performance even further.

Being a gaming laptop, there are a few additional hardware additions to the laptop, such as an intelligent cooling system, called ColdFront 2.0: that ensures the hardware and software work in synergy, thermal sensors: to keep the temperature under check, heat sink with two fans: to dissipate heat efficiently, to name a few.

Lenovo Legion 5Pi and 5i

The Lenovo Legion 5Pi and 5i retain most of the features from the Legion 7i, except for a few changes. For instance, the Legion 5Pi incorporates certain high-caliber features that offer it an edge for streamers and eSports gaming enthusiasts, whereas the 5i carries most of these specifications, but restricts itself to being a mainstream gaming laptop.

Lenovo Legion 5Pi

At its core, both Legion 5Pi and 5i run on the same 10th-Gen Intel Core i7 H-series processor and have NVIDIA’s GTX 1650ti (5Pi) or RTX 2060 (5i) GPU for all the graphics intensive operations. However, it is the design approach on both that differentiates them. The Legion 5Pi comes with an illuminated Legion logo on the top cover and has slim bezels. It features a 144Hz refresh rate display with support for sRGB color gamut, not to mention, the usual set of gaming add-ons similar to the Legion 7i. On the other hand, the Legion 5i features an iridescent logo on its top cover and comes with a FullHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with thermal solutions to keep the device temperature under control and prevent throttling.
