Google officially started rolling out the Android 17 stable update for eligible Pixel devices. Android 17 brings a lot of useful changes in key areas like privacy, AI, security, and more. Since the stable version of Android is already out, it’s time for other brands to customize it and roll it out to their devices.

OxygenOS 17 Update Tracker

OnePlus has already started offering the Android 17 beta for the OnePlus 15. However, it’s still unclear what exact features are coming to the upcoming OxygenOS 17.

What I already know is that the previous OxygenOS 16 was a huge upgrade in terms of design and AI integration, and my favorite is the ability to resize the app icons on the home page. I am expecting the upcoming OxygenOS 17 to focus more on AI integration and adding Android 17 features announced by Google in Android 17, along with several other updates.

If you are wondering whether your device will support OxygenOS 17 or what new changes are coming to the update, you have come to the right place.

Biggest changes coming to OxygenOS 17

OnePlus will officially announce OxygenOS 17 in October. That is still months away. Moreover, we haven’t had any concrete details of what exactly OnePlus is building for Android 17.

For now, based on the Android 17 features, which likely make their way into the upcoming OnePlus OxygenOS 17. Here are the expected changes in the upcoming OxygenOS 17.

Quick Share with AirDrop support might come to more OnePlus devices. As a tech reviewer, I use multiple platforms, including the Apple ecosystem. My biggest pain point is cross-sharing files between Apple and Android. While that is now easy using third-party methods, I would still welcome OnePlus bringing Quick Share to AirDrop support, especially since it doesn’t require installing any third-party apps. This feature is expected to be available for more OnePlus devices.

OnePlus OxygenOS 17 is going to be even smoother, at least according to a leak that surfaced in February 2026. OnePlus OxygenOS 16 was already the smoothest update, and with OxygenOS 17, OnePlus is rumored to refine it further. Other upgrades also include:

  • Better app usage limits
  • More privacy controls at the system level
  • App controls
  • New screen recording options
  • More Find My Device features

And much more. For better information, you can check our Android 17 full feature list and changelog to get an idea of what we can expect in the upcoming OnePlus OxygenOS 17.
