Dude I am unable to upgrade my frn iPhone from 3.0.1 to 3.1.2, whenever I try to update using 3.1.2 ipsw by locating the path it displays an following message “The iPhone could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible”, please help in upgrading…

Apple has cursed the new firmware 3.1.3 – 05.12.01 which is not unlockable … (Thats what they think)
But there is a way to lift this curse, yes you can unlock this firmware. (Sorry Apple)
We need to go back to basic few steps… (Old School Stuff)
Run blackrain and then restore and update to new firmware and then run redsnow and then restore and you will seen a foreign message on your itune, click continue and your iphone will be unlocked.
Its easy as that, i tried it on 3 different iphones, 2 of them were 3gs.
No need to pull your hair out any more. LOL

does this really work?? can you email me exactly how to do it and what firmware to restore to?? you say run blkrain then restore (to what??) update to new firmware (what if you already running the new firmware??) run redsnow and then restore (restore to what firmware??) where will you see this foreign message on itunes and what does it look like???
