Microsoft has today launched its budget 2-in-1 Surface device in India, the Surface Go. Meant to be a competitor for Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, the company launched the device globally earlier this year and is now available in India on Flipkart for a starting price of Rs 38,599. Though the tablet industry has been labelled ‘mostly useless’ by some in the market – mainly because of their high cost, constant efforts have been made by companies like Apple, Samsung, and more recently Microsoft, to keep the industry alive by coming up with tablets that provide the best value for money.
