For display, the Note 7 sports a 6.3-inch Dot Notch FHD+ display with a 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution at 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It uses an LTPS in-cell screen that uses less power and generates less heat, which allows it to be extended up to the edges across the screen. It also gets additional features like the Sunlight Display and Reading Mode. It retains the audio jack and the IR blaster, and now comes with USB Type-C. The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes in three colors – Neptune Blue, Nebula Red and Space Black.
For performance, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, based on Kryo 460 and 11nm FinFET process), along with an Adreno 612 GPU (with 2x Gold Cortex Cores). It also combines with the Qualcomm Spectra ISP and Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP to improve the performance and optics. Talking about other specifications, the device comes with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card), runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie, and a massive 4000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 support to power it all, although it backs in the usual 10W charger in the box.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 7 comes with a dual camera setup on the rear, aligned vertically, with a 48MP primary (f/1.79) + 5MP depth-sensing on the rear. On the front, the device sports a 13MP AI camera for selfies, with AI portrait mode, AI scene detection, Face Unlock, and Studio Lighting.
The company says, the picture size of a 48MP camera shot exceeds 15MB, which is why the default settings on the camera are set to Pro mode to reduces of the image to a 12MP equivalent and reduce its size.
