Huawei has today launched a new fitness tracker, the Huawei Band 4, adding to its existing lineup of smart wearables, in India. The band claims to feature a range of useful features such as continuous heart rate tracking, fitness activity tracking (including 9 different exercise modes), color display, SpO2 sensor, and up to 5 ATM of water and dust resistance, among other things. In terms of design, the Huawei Band 4 features the traditional fitness band-style design with a built-in USB in-line charger for offering a convenient way of charging. Upfront, there is a 0.96-inch LCD touch screen with a 2.5D glass on top, which offers a screen resolution of 160×80 pixels, along with around 66 different watch faces available on the store. At its core, the tracker is powered by an Apollo 3 processor, and it includes a 91mAh battery that offers up to 9 days of battery life on a single charge. As for other specifications, the band comes with up to 5 ATM (50m) water and dust resistance, music control, 3-axis acceleration sensor, and optical heart rate sensor. It uses Bluetooth 4.2 LE for connectivity and is compatible with Android 4.4 or later or iOS 9.0 or later.
Talking about fitness tracking, the Band 4 claims to offer all-day monitoring with features like scientific sleep mode detector, oxygen saturation, and sleep monitoring, in addition to 9 different exercise modes, which include outdoor run, indoor run, outdoor walk, outdoor cycle, indoor cycle, free training, elliptical machine, rowing machine, and indoor walk. Besides this, the tracker also suggests offering 24×7 heart rate tracking, tracking 6 most common sleep-related issues, and offering over 200 solutions and suggestions for better sleep.
Besides fitness tracking, the band also offers a bunch of other useful functionalities, such as phone finder, remote shutter capabilities, smart clock, and sedentary reminder alarms, making it an ideal companion for every scenario.
