Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi, has today made its foray into wearables with the launch of the Redmi band, expanding its portfolio of products that includes smartphones, TVs, and smart home appliances, among others. While the company already has fitness trackers under Mi, the newly launched Redmi Band is more of an entry-level tracker and comes at a lower price than the cheapest offering from Mi.

The Redmi Band features a 1.08-inch LCD rectangular color display, which follows a similar design language as some of the other fitness trackers in the market. It comes in four color options: Black, Blue, Green, and Orange.

Besides, the band comes with 14-day battery life, and it supports direct USB charging with a built-in charging port, eliminating the need for a separate module that would otherwise require to be plugged to the device to charge the battery. Talking about fitness and health tracking, the band comes with a heart rate sensor and offers sleep monitoring, activity tracking, and sedentary reminder.

Xiaomi Redmi Band: Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Band is priced at CNY 99 (~ USD 14), and it will go on sale in China starting April 9.
