Vivo introduced V19 in the global markets last month after it got deferred due to the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. And today, it officially makes its way in India. The V19 is essentially a successor to the V17, launched last year, and it comes with quad rear cameras, dual front cameras, and a Snapdragon 712 processor running under the hood. Vivo V19: Design and Display
In terms of design, the V19 features a 3D glass body, which the company claims to have designed ergonomically with curves around the edges to give it a comfortable grip in hand. The phone comes in two colorways: Piano Black and Mystic Silver. Towards the front, there is a 6.44-inch E3 Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification. In addition, the display also comes with HDR 10 to offer better and dynamic colors.
Vivo V19: Performance
At its core, the Vivo V19 runs on the good-old Snapdragon 712, which is an octa-core processor built on the 10nm process, with Adreno 616 GPU. The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage. It includes a 4500mAh battery with support for 33W FlashCharge 2.0 that claims to charge the battery from 0 to 70% in just 40 minutes. To ensure no hindrance caused while gaming, the phone comes equipped with copper tube liquid cooling, which promises to reduce heating significantly to prevent performance throttling. Moreover, there is also the multi-turbo 3.0 and ultra-game mode to optimize the gaming experience and offer other sets of gaming features.
As for other specifications, the V19 comes with dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, and USB Type-C. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication and retains the 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, the phone runs on Funtouch OS 10 (based on Android 10), out of the box.
Vivo V19: Camera
In the camera department, the V19 sports a quad-camera setup on the rear, with an LED flash. The setup includes a 48MP (f/1.79) primary sensor, along with an 8MP (f/2.2) wide-angle sensor, a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. On the front, the device has dual-cameras, housed within the hole-punch cutout, which include a 32MP (f/2.08) primary and an 8MP (f/2.28) secondary lens.
Vivo V19: Pricing and Availability
The Vivo V19 comes in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, priced at Rs 27,990 and Rs 31,990, respectively. As for availability, the device will go on sale starting May 15 on Vivo India, Amazon, and Flipkart. The pricing looks rather steep considering the processor but the V-series has been Vivo’s offline-centric lineup catering to the demand of the dealers.
