Redmi Note 10 series with Super AMOLED display and up to 108MP cameras launched in India
Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has today announced the much-awaited Note 10 series of smartphones in India. The Redmi Note 10 series includes three models, namely: Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max — which come as successors to the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The notable highlights of the Note 10 series include a Super AMOLED display and the 108MP primary camera.
Redmi Note 10
To start off, Xiaomi has the Redmi Note 10, which is the standard variant in the series. It features what Xiaomi calls an “Evol Design” and comes in three colors: Shadow Black, Frost White, and Aqua Green. On the front, there is a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ screen resolution and 1100 nits of peak brightness. And, there is Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 10 is powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor with up to 2.2GHz of clock speed and an Adreno 612 GPU to handle graphics processing. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card. To power the internals, there is a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging (charger included in the box). As for other specifications, the vanilla Redmi Note 10 comes with a Z-axis haptics motor, stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication. It runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
Talking about cameras, the Redmi Note 10 sports a quad-camera setup on the rear. This setup includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP telephoto lens. And towards the front, it has a 13MP in-display camera.
Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max
Moving on to the Pro models, the Note 10 Pro and the Note 10 Pro Max, both feature the “Evol Design”, similar to the vanilla model. On the front, the two have a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The display offers FHD resolution, 1200 nits of brightness, HDR10 support, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of performance, the two utilize the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, coupled with up to 8GB of (LPDDR4X) RAM and up to 128GB of (UFS 2.2) storage, expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. There is a 5020mAh battery on both phones to power the internals with support for 33W fast charging (charger included in the box). Talking about other specifications, both the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a Z-axis haptic motor. On the software front, the smartphones run on MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
In the camera department, both smartphones sport a quad-camera array on the rear. However, it is the main sensor that separates the two. The Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 64MP primary sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the other hand, the Note 10 Pro Max replaces the 64MP sensor with a 108MP while retaining the same ultra-wide, macro, and depth sensors from the Note 10 Pro. On the front, both the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max come with a 16MP punch-hole camera.
