Apple’s Upcoming Foldable iPhone Will Have Limited Availability at Launch
Some of you might not be able to get the Apple iPhone Fold, which Apple is rumored to call the Ultra, at launch. According to the latest report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may announce the iPhone Fold in September, but it will be available only in very limited quantities at first.
Apple is expected to follow the same iPhone X-style launch, where it will announce the phone in September but may ship it later. However, previous reports suggested that Apple has increased the production for the iPhone Fold from 7-8 million to 10 million units.
For now, Apple’s upcoming iPhone Fold is not officially confirmed by the company, but we already have plenty of details about the device. Initial rumors also pointed out that Apple may announce it during the September event alongside the iPhone 18 series, but it may not ship the foldable iPhone until later this year.
Since it is the first foldable phone from Apple, we should see how innovative Apple is when it comes to foldable iPhones. If you are someone who is waiting, you can keep track of all the updates in our separate iPhone Foldable Updates Tracker.
Jon Prosser Has Formally Responded to Apple’s Lawsuit Over Alleged iOS Leak-Related Trade Secret Theft
Jon Prosser has formally responded to Apple’s lawsuit over alleged iOS leak-related trade secret theft.
Jon Prosser is the Apple leaker who leaked Apple’s biggest software move ever, way before it was officially announced.
Last year, he published a video on iOS 26, for which Apple lodged a complaint against him for leaking trade secrets. It is one of the biggest Apple software leaks ever, and also Apple’s first transition to its naming scheme, moving from iOS 18 to iOS 27 directly with the new Liquid Glass design, which should have been a surprising move for people who heard about it at launch. However, Jon Prosser provided almost all the details about iOS 26 way before the launch.
Even today, he is posting every Apple leak that’s coming, including the upcoming iPhone Fold, which will be called the Ultra, the new upcoming iPhone Air 2, and much more.
Now the case is ongoing. Jon Prosser has responded to the Apple lawsuit over alleged iOS leak claims and provided more details. Apple’s lawsuit claimed that he planned to break into an Apple development product. Apple claims that Jon Prosser and Michael Ramacciotti, another person who seems to be a friend of Ethan Lipnick, an Apple employee, worked together to access a developer iPhone from Ethan Lipnick.
However, Prosser says that he joined a FaceTime call where Michael Ramacciotti showed him unreleased iOS features running on a developer phone. Prosser admitted that he recorded the FaceTime call through screen captures and shared the recordings.
He also claims that he did not know how Michael Ramacciotti got the information, and also did not know that the iPhone belonged to the Apple employee Ethan Lipnick. Jon Prosser also claims that he shared the revenue with Michael Ramacciotti after publishing the videos.

More Details About the Samsung Galaxy Wide Foldable Smartphone That Is Launching This Month
Following the tradition, Samsung is expected to launch its new foldable smartphones for 2026 this year.
And this time, Samsung is also going to announce a new foldable form factor called Wide, similar to the upcoming Apple iPhone Ultra. We now have the pricing details for these devices ahead of the announcement.
According to the leak, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold prices in Germany will start at €1,999 for the new Wide model. The regular Galaxy Z Fold is expected to be the new wider foldable smartphone, and the Samsung Fold 8 Ultra is expected to launch at around €2,399. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to launch around €1,299, and Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 are also expected to launch alongside the foldable phones.
If Apple launches a wider foldable phone and Samsung also moves in the same direction, the foldable phone market could shift away from narrow book-style designs and move toward wider, more tablet-like foldables.

Oppo Is Reportedly Shutting Down OxygenOS and Realme UI in Favor of ColorOS
The OnePlus and Realme devices, as we know them, might no longer exist in the future. A new report claims that Oppo has decided to shut down OxygenOS and Realme UI in the coming months.
All the future OnePlus and Realme devices are expected to ship with Oppo’s ColorOS instead of OxygenOS and Realme UI, even globally. Oppo already ships OnePlus devices in China with ColorOS. The report says Oppo’s plan is for cost-cutting and software simplification. Instead of maintaining three different Android OSs, Oppo has decided to go with ColorOS only for all of its phones.
For those who are unaware, OnePlus and Realme are also part of Oppo’s parent brand. Currently, this is just a report, and there is no information yet about how current OnePlus devices and Realme devices will update to ColorOS. It is possible that starting with the coming Android 17 update, OnePlus will switch all existing devices to ColorOS gradually.
This move isn’t surprising, at least for core OnePlus fans, because ColorOS and OxygenOS already look very familiar. Even Oppo migrated the entire backend codebase to ColorOS years ago, killing the OG OxygenOS.

However, for now, your OnePlus and Realme smartphones will not look much different than what you already have, even after shifting to ColorOS. Also, ColorOS isn’t bad either. It is one of the smoothest Android OSs currently out there.
This is still a report, but it is expected to be confirmed in the coming days based on recent events. Specifically, OnePlus is shutting down operations in some countries and shifting its strategy in India by launching more affordable smartphones that don’t look like a phone from OnePlus. Realme has also slowed down its smartphone launches, which typically flooded the market with plenty of smartphones.
Additionally, Oppo is focusing heavily on the Indian market and other global brands, launching flagship camera-centric phones. This is definitely sad news for OnePlus fans, especially the ones who experienced the OG OxygenOS. Anyone who used OxygenOS knows the true power of that OS, and it was the primary reason most people bought a OnePlus phone. We should get the full details about this plan from Oppo in the coming days.
Samsung Is Officially Shutting Down Samsung Messages in Favor of Google Messages
Samsung is officially shutting down Samsung Messages in favor of Google Messages. If you use Samsung Messages, you can shift all your data to Google Messages. We have already created a detailed guide on how to do it easily.

Here is a first look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy glasses. The glasses look very similar to the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. The leaked design shows everything, including the design and buttons, gestures, camera controls, indicator lights, and more. The leak covers all of this and much more.
Google Wallet on Android Phones Now Shows Payment History from Wear OS Watches
Now you can see the last 10 payments made from your Wear OS watch on your Google app on your Android phone.
If you use a watch with Google Wear OS and often make payments from it, and also use the Google Wallet app, this can be a useful update for you.
Previously, the Google Wallet app only showed transactions made from the phone itself. With this new update, it can now show the last 10 transactions made from your Google Watch, too. Currently, only NFC tap-to-pay purchases are supported, and the Wallet app can only display your last 10 transactions.
The transactions made from your watch appear alongside your payments made from your phone, with a label saying purchase made on watch. The update is currently rolling out. You can update your Google Wallet app and try out this new payments feature.
Google Is Killing Another Popular Service: The Tenor API
Google is killing another popular service. This time, it’s the Tenor API. While this might not affect you if you don’t use Tenor-powered GIFs, for developers, this API is used by many apps and websites to show searchable GIFs.
Google isn’t shutting down Tenor, but it is shutting down the ability for third-party apps to use the Tenor API. Some of your favorite apps might move to other services like Giphy or Clippy. This could be sad news, considering Tenor has a popular GIF library and an easy-to-search function.
However, this won’t affect you if you use Google services, because the existing Google services will continue to use Tenor GIFs, including Google Gboard, Messages, and much more.
