LG G4 – the latest flagship Android smartphone from the other South Korean giant is yet to hit the Indian shores, but looks like the company is trying out a different pre-launch and marketing strategy this time. Instead of holding on to the pricing till the day of the launch, LG has (sort of) revealed the price for the G4 in India – Rs. 51,500 (~$800).

The exact model of LG G4 which goes on sale will be LG D818N which is a dual SIM variant of the international version announced few weeks back. The phone will be up for pre-order (you got to pay the full price up front) soon and has some attractive offers as well. In addition to getting an entry to the mega launch event, customers pre-ordering the phone also have a chance to receive their unit right from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary superstar of Bollywood.

Other offers include-

  • Free LG G4 Mettallic Finish Back Cover worth Rs.2000/- inside box.
  • Free One Time Screen Replacement worth Rs.6500/-.
  • Free Extra Battery with Charging Cradle worth Rs. 3500/-.

That’s not too bad an offer, but then you’re required to pay the full amount up front!

The LG G4 comes with a 5.5-inch 2K Quantum LCD display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and is powered by Snapdragon 808 chipset with a 1.8GHz hexa-core processor and Adreno 418 GPU along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage. Unlike the norm these days, the LG G4 has a microSD slot which can take memory up to 128GB and a 3000mAh removable battery as well. The highlight of the phone has to be the 16MP rear camera with a wide f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP snapper on the front.

Just for the reference, LG’s fierce competitor, Samsung, launched its flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 for Rs.49,900 and the Galaxy S6 Edge for Rs 58,900 back in March this year, and both of them are being sold for a lower price already.

We are yet to know if any of the online retailers like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal will be offering the pre-orders, and we have also reached out to LG to confirm the news. Be sure to see an update as and when we have additional details to share.

Update: We are hearing about June 19th launch with stocks arriving as early as 1st of June. That’s confusing we know!

Update 2: LG’s own website is now accepting pre-orders!

Update 3: Infibeam, one of the online retailers has listed the LG G4 at Rs.49,999 (no launch offers mentioned). This might well be the MOP, with Rs.51,500 being the MRP.

  1. Android
M is one tech upgrade I can’t wait for – Windows 10 not so much. After I got
FREE software at http://WWW.FASTERWINDOWS.INFO that has my computer running like new after
doing a pretty fast scan, and I don’t see a point in getting and relearning an
entirely new OS when I don’t have to even if Windows 10 is free. Plus it’s
going to have to take up a ton of space on my computer to install an
ENTIRELY new Operating System. I know how tiring it can be to use your computer
system when you are loading slow on every website, but since I don’t have that
    problem anymore I don’t need windows 10. I didn’t realize how efficient
scanning and cleaning up your computer and computer’s drivers is at getting it
to run like brand new. End rant: Basically, if someone makes new software
there better be a need for it.

  2. Very shitty pricing!! Not gonna work for lg with the s6 as a competitor. Max price of 47k with all those extra gifts wouldve been perfect.
