Nokia is not done playing the nostalgia card yet. After relaunching the Nokia 3310 in last year’s MWC, the HMD backed company has now relaunched the Nokia 8110. The Nokia 8110 was an icon in its own right and was famous for the curved slider form factor. The all new Nokia 8110 seems to retain the quintessential and add a dash or two of modern features.
The Nokia 8110 comes with 4G connectivity and is also offers a handful of carefully curated apps. The company has decided to include Google Assistant, Maps, and Search along with Facebook and Twitter. And yes, before we forget Nokia 8110 comes baked in with the Snake game. As far as colors are concerned, the company has decided to paint the 8110 in a shade of banana yellow, loud and eye-catching for sure.
The Nokia 8110 comes equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display. The device runs on the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform alongside 512MB of RAM. On the storage front, the Nokia 8110 offers 4GB of eMMC internal memory. Imaging options on this feature phone include a 2-Megapixel rear camera. Backing the device is a 1500mAh battery and it runs on Smart Feature OS. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, LTE, 3G, micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, micro SIM slot and FM radio. As per Nokia, the device offers a standby of 17 days with a whopping 9 days of talk time.
HMD Global is pitching the Nokia 8110 as something that helps people maintain a phone-life balance (unable to figure out how). That apart the slider on the Nokia 8110 can still be used to receive and hang up on calls while the curved “banana” like shaped will best fit the contours of your face.
