Motorola announced its comeback into flagships with its first foldable phone, the Razr, bringing back the nostalgia from back in the day. However, sadly, the phone did not manage to garner as much attention as the company would have liked it to do. So, a few months down the line, moving with the traditional smartphone approach, it announced two new devices, the Edge and Edge Plus, in the US last month. And now, it is bringing one of these devices, the Edge Plus, to the Indian market.

Motorola Edge Plus: Design and Display
In terms of design, the Edge Plus comes with a sandwiched glass design, much like some of the other flagships out there, which has a metal frame all around the body, sandwiched between glass on the front and the back. It offers two color options: Smoky Sangria and Thunder Grey.
Towards the front, the phone features a 6.7-inch OLED panel, which slightly curves at the edges and blends with the side edge. The display offers an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also brings support for HDR10+ to offer better, sharper colors with enhanced contrast. Besides, it includes a hole-punch cutout on the top left to house the front-facing camera.
Motorola Edge Plus: Performance
At its core, the Motorola Edge Plus runs on the Snapdragon 865, the latest offering from Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 865 is an octa-core chipset, built on the 7nm process, which introduces 5G connectivity across all flagship devices. To assist the processor, the device comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It includes a 5000mAh battery to power the internals, which comes with support for 18W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging. The reverse wireless charging can come in handy when you need to charge other devices when they are running low on the battery.
Talking about other specifications, the phone comes with dual stereo speakers, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. It runs on the company’s custom UI, MyUX, based on Android 10, out of the box. For connectivity, the handset offers support for 5G (mmW, sub-6GHz), 4G LTE, WiFi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.
Motorola Edge Plus: Camera
For optics, the Edge Plus sport a triple-camera setup on the rear, with an LED flash. The setup includes a 108MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide-sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 117° FoV, and an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture and 3x optical zoom. On the front, the device has a 25MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, housed within the hole-punch cutout, for selfies.
