Amazon Echo Show 10 with move and auto-frame abilities announced
A non-stationary Echo Show!
Alongside the all-new Echo (4th-Gen) and the Fire TV Stick and Stick Lite, Amazon has today also unveiled its latest smart display, the Echo Show 10. For the uninitiated, the Echo Show is the company’s flagship smart display offering, and with the new update, it is getting even actively interactive. Yes, the smart display now moves.
To start with, the Echo Show 10 comes with a few interesting changes compared to its predecessor. And the one that would excite people the most is the new non-stationary motorized base, which swivels when you interact with it. To achieve this, the device relies on computer vision technology and echolocation, which help it determine your position in a room to make it easier for you to have a glance at the screen most of the time. Furthermore, the Echo Show 10 also has a 13MP camera, which, combined with its motorized base, ensures you stay in the frame during video calls. For those who do not want that feature, the same can be disabled.
Talking about the essentials, the smart display offers a 10-inch screen that comes with adaptive HD resolution. It has two side-firing speakers. At its core, the device runs on the all-new AZ1 chip, which is built in collaboration with MediaTek. The new chip claims to offer better processing capabilities to cut down on the processing time and deliver faster responses. As for other specifications, there is Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, and support for Sidewalk hub.
Echo Show 10 will also rotate as you watch the news, flash briefings, or TV shows from Hulu + Live TV and Prime Video. And soon, you will also be able to watch Netflix simply by asking Alexa, with the ability to search, browse, and stream the entire catalog, including Netflix Originals such as Stranger Things, The Crown, and The Irishman, using just your voice.
Echo Show 10 uses advanced computer vision algorithms to help make your home smarter and more secure. When Alexa Guard is in Away Mode, Echo Show 10 can periodically pan the room and send you a Smart Alert if it detects someone in its field of view. You can also securely access a live feed from another Echo Show device or the Alexa app, with the ability to remotely zoom or pan the display and camera to see the entire room; or set up a Routine that automatically turns on the lights when someone enters the room.

The all-new Echo Show 10 is priced at $249.99. It will be available for pre-order in the US starting today, with shipments expected around holiday later this year. There is no information on pricing and availability for Echo Show 10 in India and other countries.
