Alongside the all-new Echo (4th-Gen)Echo Show 10, and a new cloud-gaming service, Luna, which Amazon announced at its hardware 2020 event, the company has also unveiled the all-new Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite. Amazon says the new Fire TV Stick is now 50% more powerful and comes with HDR and Dolby Atmos support. On the other hand, the Fire TV Stick Lite comes as the most affordable Fire TV device, with support for HDR and full-HD streaming.

As already mentioned, the new Fire TV Stick is claimed to me 50% more powerful than its previous generation. In addition, it is also said to consume around 50% less power than its predecessor. To offer this performance, it employs an octa-core chipset, clocked at 1.7GHz clock speed. The Fire TV Stick allows for streaming in 1080p at 60fps along with HDR compatibility. And it also features Dolby Atmos to offer an immersive sound experience with compatible content and speakers. What’s more, the device comes bundled with an Alexa Voice Remote that includes dedicated power, volume, and mute buttons to allow you to control TVs and soundbars in your home.

In terms of connectivity, the Fire TV Stick comes with dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi and offers support for 5GHz networks to offer stable streaming with less-frequent connection drops.

Moving to the other streaming device, the Fire TV Stick Lite, Amazon suggests that its most affordable streaming device ever is 50% more powerful than the previous-generation Fire TV Stick. Moreover, it is also said to pack in the most processing power on any media streaming device under $30.

The Fire TV Stick Lite comes with HDR support and full-HD streaming. It also features an Alexa Voice Remote Lite, which allows you to use voice to search and launch content on the device.

Fire TV Stick and Stick Lite: Pricing and Availability

The Fire TV Stick is priced at $39.99. On the other hand, the affordable alternative, the Fire TV Stick Lite carries a price tag of $29.99. Both devices will be available in select countries next week, with pre-orders starting today. In India, the Fire TV Stick is priced at Rs 3,999 while the Fire TV Stick Lite is priced at Rs 2,999. Both are available for pre-order starting today and will ship on October 15th.
