Asus
Asus is officially out of the smartphone league; its existing smartphones are expected to receive the Android 17 update as per its support policy. However, unlike other OEMs, Android 17 may not arrive on Asus smartphones until later. Asus didn’t make any official announcement, but we are anticipating based on the update policy Asus announced for these smartphones.
- ROG series: ROG Phone 9, ROG Phone 9 Pro.
- Zenfone: Zenfone 12 Ultra.
Fairphone
FairPhone differentiates itself from others by offering long-lasting devices. The brand promises 5+ years of software support. Based on its update policy, here are the Fairphone devices that will receive the Android 17 update.
Number series: Fairphone 5, Fairphone 6
Google has officially confirmed the Android 17 update for its Pixel devices. Android 17 beta 1 is already available for Google Pixel 6 or later devices. If your device is in the Support list, you can install Android 17 right away and experience it even before the stable release.

iQOO
iQOO is Vivo’s subbrand specifically focused on gaming, and has plenty of models. iQOO usually promises 4 to 5 years of software updates, depending on the model. The flagship number series, Z series, and Neo series are the first to expect Android 17. Here are the expected iQOO devices to get Android 17 based on the update policy and launch timeline.

Since the brand has plenty of models and new smartphones launching every month, it’s hard to track updates for each one. However, here are the models expected to receive the Android 17 update from Motorola.
We anticipate Motorola’s new Signature series and Moto Razr foldable smartphones to receive the Android 17 update first, followed by the Edge series and the mid-range G series, with other models to follow.
- New Signature Series: Motorola Signature (2026).
- Foldables: motorola razr 50, razr 50 Ultra, razr 60, razr 60 Ultra.
- Edge Series: Edge 70 Series, Edge 60, and Edge 50 Series.
- Moto G Series: The Latest Moto G series, launched in 2025 and 2026, is expected to resume Android updates first.
Nothing
Nothing is a popular brand that has very few models. It is one of the few brands that has committed to multi-year software support for its devices.
Nothing promises 4-5 years of software updates, depending on the model. It also has its own sub-brand called CMF by Nothing. While the models and smartphone series are growing, the flagship Nothing Phone 3 series is expected to receive the Android 17 update first, followed by the Phone 2 series, A series, and the CMF lineup.

The brand typically promises up to 4 years of software update support. The flagship GT series is expected to receive the Android 17 update with realme UI 8 first, followed by the midrange GT T series, and then the number series, and finally, other series.
- GT Series: realme GT 6, GT 6T, GT 7, GT 7 Pro, GT 7T, GT 8 Pro.
- Number Series: realme 14T, realme 15, realme 15 Pro, realme 15T, realme 16, and realme 16 Pro.
- P Series: realme P4, realme P4 Pro, and the latest Realme P series.
Samsung
Samsung offers up to 7 years of updates, the longest software support compared to others. And it also launches hundreds of models every year.
Samsung has been consistently rolling out Android updates to its smartphones with its seven-year update policy. The flagship Galaxy S series, the foldable Z series, and some latest mid-range A series are expected to receive Android 17 first, based on One UI 9.
Samsung is currently rolling out one UI 8.5 to the supported devices, and we can expect one UI 9 in the latter part of 2026.

Vivo

With the recent shift to OriginOS 6 globally, Vivo is expected to roll out OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 to its flagship X series first, followed by its midrange V series, and some T series are also expected to receive the Android 17 update later this year or early 2027. Xiaomi also has a very big lineup and multiple sub-brands, including Redmi and Poco, with their own flagship and mid-range models.
Xiaomi usually promises up to 4-5 years of software updates, depending on the model. Based on the update policy, we anticipate that Xiaomi’s flagship series will receive Android 17 based on HyperOS 7 first, followed by Redmi flagship smartphones, the Note series, and then the Poco flagship F and X series.
Based on the current update rollout performance, Android 17 for Xiaomi smartphones is expected to arrive in early 2027.
