BlackBerry has now launched its KEYone smartphone in India. It is the last of the in-house developed smartphones from BlackBerry. Currently, BlackBerry has licensed TCL for manufacturing its future smartphones. The BlackBerry KEYone was initially launched internationally at MWC 2017.
The BlackBerry KEYone that has been launched in India has slightly better internals as compared to its international counterpart. The Canadian company thus aptly calling it as the BlackBerry KEYone Limited Edition Black. This Indian variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The BlackBerry KEYone that was launched at the MWC came with just 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
As evident from the name, the main highlight of the BlackBerry KEYone is its QWERTY keyboard. It is among those rare breeds of smartphones that still come with a physical keyboard. That aside, BlackBerry’s software expertise makes it even more attractive to enterprise users and diehard fans. Just like other BlackBerry devices, the KEYone comes built-in with BlackBerry’s own suite of apps including DTEK, BlackBerry Password Keeper, BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Calendar, BlackBerry Workspace and so on.
Internally, the BlackBerry KEYone Limited Edition Black sports a 4.5-inch HD+ (1,080 x 1,620p) IPS LCD display with 433ppi. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa core processor with cores clocked up to 2GHz. Talking of cameras, the KEYone boast a 12MP f/2.0 rear shooter with PDAF and EIS. Besides, there’s an 8MP front camera for wide angle selfies. It also has a 3,505mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
