Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 7 Pro in China for 1599 Yuan

Xiaomi has today launched its newest budget offering, Redmi 7, along with the Redmi Note 7 Pro (China variant) at an event in China. Over the past few weeks, the Redmi 7 has been teased for some time over-and-over again, whereas, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, has been speculated to have different specifications than the Indian variant, launched a couple of weeks back.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with the same 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a notch at the top. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 675 chipset with Adreno 612 GPU, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card). In terms of other hardware specifications, the device comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C for data transfer and charging, a fingerprint scanner on the rear for authentication, an IR blaster, and a massive 3900mAh battery, with Quick Charge 4, to power it all. The device runs on MIUI 10, based on Android 9 Pie out of the box.


In the camera department, the Redmi Note 7 Pro sports a dual camera set up on the rear with a 48MP (f/1.79 aperture) Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP camera for selfies.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes only in 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option and is priced at 1599 yuan (~Rs 16,350). It will go on sale in China, starting March 22nd. The phone was launched last month in India in two variants with the bigger 6GB/128GB model priced at Rs 16,999.
