Vu Televisions has today announced its latest range of Ultra 4K television in India via an online event. The company holds the television portfolio for both mid-range and high-range offerings. And with its latest offerings, it touts an ultra-edge 4K panel, offered in four different sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. Vu suggests that the 4K display on its latest televisions comes with a dedicated backlight controller and delivers 40 percent enhanced brightness. Let’s dive in to learn more.
As already mentioned, the all-new TVs come in four screen sizes: 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch, and include pro picture calibration, which allows users to adjusts elements like the color temperature, noise reduction, along with a few other aspects. The TV features a 4K (DLED) panel that comes in at 3840 x 2160 pixels and provides 400 nits of brightness. There is support for HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) standards, along with DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Digital+, on the audio side of things. To add to that, it also provides different audio modes, including Standard, Theatre, Sports, Music, and Late Night, to offer a distinct audio experience.
At its core, the Vu Ultra 4K TV is powered by a quad-core processor with Mali-470 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. On the software front, it runs on Android TV 9 (pie) and comes with Google Assistant support. Out of the box, the TV comes pre-installed with a bunch of entertainment apps, including the likes of YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix, and Hotstar. Depending on the screen-size you opt for, you either get a 24W (43-inch) or a 30W (50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch) speaker.
For connectivity, the TV offers Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, a headphones jack, 2x USB ports, 3x HDMI ports, optical audio, RF analog port, AV input, and an Ethernet port. In addition, it also offers support for Chromecast for easy screencasting.
Vu Ultra 4K TV series: Pricing and Availability
The Vu Ultra 4K TV starts at Rs 25,999 for the 43-inch model, with the 50-inch model coming in at Rs 28,999 and the 55-inch model priced at Rs 32,999. As for the fourth, top-of-the-line model with a 65-inch panel, the TV costs Rs 48,999. Pretty aggressive and impressive pricing indeed.
In terms of availability, all models will go sale on Amazon India starting later today, and soon, will be available in offline markets.
