Xiaomi spin-off, Poco, announced the Poco M2 Pro in India back in July, which is essentially the Redmi 9 Prime with increased RAM and Poco launcher. A few months down the line, the company has today announced the Poco M2 — a watered-down version of the M2 Pro, which comes with a Full-HD+ display, a 5000mAh battery, and runs on Helio G80. Here’s a closer look at the specifications of the device in detail.

In terms of design, the Poco M2 features a two-tone pattern with an anti-fingerprint texture and P2i coating on top. Towards the front, the device comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Poco M2 comes in three colors: Pitch Black, Slate Blue, and Brick Red.

At its core, the Poco M2 runs on the MediaTek Helio G80 running under the hood, which is an octa-core processor based on the 12nm process with up to 2.0GHz clock speed, and the Mali-G52 GPU for graphics processing. To assist the processor, there is 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card). The device includes a 5000mAh battery to power the internals, with 18W fast charging support.
For connectivity, the Poco M2 comes with dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0. Besides, the device includes a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual microphones, and an IR blaster.
Poco M2: Cameras
In the camera department, the Poco M2 sports a quad-camera array on the rear, with an LED flash. The setup includes a 13MP primary camera, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device has an 8MP selfie camera.
