Quick Answer
The newly-announced iPhone 16 series brings striking new colorways, a significant departure from last year’s dull-looking iPhone 15 lineup. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come in Black, White, Teal, Pink, and Ultramarine colorways – all equally distinct and good-looking. The Pro lineup introduces an all-new Desert Titanium finish in addition to the existing Natural, Black, and White Titanium finishes.
Apple kicked off techtember today by announcing the next-generation AirPods, Apple Watch, and its flagship smartphone – the iPhone 16 lineup. As expected, we saw the inclusion of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the lineup, precisely similar to that of the iPhone 14 and 15 lineups. However, what’s not identical lies in the visual aspect of the lineup, and you are in for a pleasant surprise.
It’s safe to say that Apple left everyone with an unimpressed face after showcasing the iPhone 15 colorways, so much so that the top comments under most related posts questioned if Apple ran out of ink for its iPhones. Apple fought back hard, to say the least, and here is the proof.
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus Colors
Stepping out of the dull world, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come in five stunning colorways – Black, White, Pink, Teal, and Ultramarine. Fret not; Apple hasn’t dialed down the saturation to the lowest; instead, it’s the highest this time around. Albeit Black and White look exactly how you would imagine them, the other colors are the real show-stopper.

To mention a few inspirations, iPhone 16’s Pink, White, Black, and Teal colorways resemble Pixel 9’s color finishes, which have quickly become a fan favorite, especially the Pink. Speaking of Ultramarine, remember the OnePlus 8 Pro in Ultramarine Blue? Yeah, we couldn’t help but notice the strikingly similar looks.
Similar to last year, there’s no (Product) Red iPhone 16 this time around, which is a bummer for the fans of red color, although it was expected. Despite this, the rest of the iPhone 16 lineup looks immensely fresh and appealing to our eyes compared to the mutant iPhone 15 lineup. The Ultramarine color looks particularly stunning.
Welcome Back, Gold!
You are in for a treat if you, like us, are a loyal fan of Apple’s gold finishes, be it the older iPads’ elegant rose gold looks or the gold colorways of the iPhone 6s, iPhone 8, and iPhone XS. Gold has always been a crowd favorite regardless of the product, be it iPads, iPhones, or even Apple Watches.
What do we have this time? Well, Desert Titanium is a sheer flaunt of beauty and elegance. Although exclusive to the Pro lineup, the Desert Titanium is the definition of luxury, so don’t be surprised if it ends up being the best-seller. Leaning ever so slightly toward the color of sunset, the Desert Titanium colorway is drastically different from the leaked colorways Rose Gold and Deep Red.
All in all, we couldn’t be happier with this year’s flagship color finish.
iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max Colors
Other than the showstopping Desert Titanium shade, the rest of the Pro lineup opts for a tried-and-tested color palette: White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium. With the everlasting popularity of the Natural Titanium colorway, Apple did the right thing by not ditching it altogether.

Like always, black and white are the best neutral shades to have on a smartphone, and it goes the same for the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. Additionally, this year’s Pro lineup retains the matte back finish and brushed side frame like that of the iPhone 15 Pro lineup. There are no other visual enhancements whatsoever.
