Microsoft Copilot is an AI assistant like ChatGPT that has been built into Microsoft products. While ChatGPT requires a subscription to use some models and features, Copilot makes them free. AI companies are taking their chatbots to the next level by enabling new features to do tasks that require a lot of time. AI chatbots have now added value to our queries by responding to them directly. Now, they are getting into the thinking zone where they get into the details of our queries, think, and answer them.

How to use Think Deeper on Copilot

Microsoft has recently made the Think Deeper feature available for free to all users. Let’s see what it is and how to use it.

What is Think Deeper on Copilot

When someone asks us a question, we think for a few seconds before answering it. If it is a factual question, we don’t have to think. Similarly, chatbots like Copilot have answered factual questions using the data it is tried on. When we ask complex questions like career choices in the AI world,  how to code a whole app using AI, or some other questions that involve multiple stages of thinking, they do not respond how we wish them to.

The Think Deeper features on Copilot give us simple answers to complex questions. It takes some time for the chatbot to get into the details of our queries, analyze them, think about them, and give answers; it changes how we use Copilot. The feature is similar to the thinking feature of Deepseek and the o1 model on ChatGPT. It shows 30 seconds to think and answer our queries on Copilot, but it takes more than that and answers in a few seconds to a few minutes based on our queries. Think Deeper is also powered by OpenAI’s 01 model, just like ChatGPT.

The thinking feature is currently in its nascent stage of development. It will get better with more users using it and help it train to answer questions with greater complexities. Think Deeper feature is currently available for free on Copilot. Let’s see how to use it.
