Almost every iOS user has been flaunting artistic pictures on their social profiles with the help of a new photo-editing sensation – the Prisma app. Until now, Android users were left out and stuck with mediocre rip-offs. Fortunately, the company behind the app is finally releasing a beta channel for Android, rollout for which will commence later today.


To register for the beta, users will need head over to Prisma’s official website and sign up for the newsletter through the “Sign Up for News” button present on the bottom. Consequently, you’ll receive a Google Play link for installing it. Developers have mentioned the Android application will work exactly like its iOS counterpart – you’ll be able to choose from an extensive list of beautifully designed filters inspired from artworks created by personalities like Picasso. To achieve the required level of accuracy, the app utilizes robust artificially intelligent algorithms capable of maintaining quality no matter what picture you choose. Additionally, the team behind Prisma has stated that a bunch of more features will be added soon including a “Prisma Video feature, 360-degree Prisma images and a long list of new ‘styles’ for you to transform your favorite photos into eye-popping bits of digital art.”

Prisma has been topping iOS charts for a couple of weeks now with download numbers reaching over 7.5 Million and 1.5 Million active daily users. The app has been holding the number one spot in above 40 countries and as a result, is trending across all social networks. Given the current popularity of the app, it’s no wonder Android’s version will be considerably a much wider success.
