Android Oreo (Go Edition) Powered Alcatel 1x Announced in India
Alcatel had first showcased the 1x at the recent MWC event. The company has now launched the same in India making the Alcatel 1X the first Android Oreo (Go Edition) with 18:9 Aspect ratio. That being said, Alcatel has decided to keep the price and availability details under the wraps.
The Alcatel 1x features a 5.34-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display set at a resolution of 480×960 pixels. The device is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. On the storage front, the Alcatel 1x offers 16GB of internal memory that is further expandable via a microSD card slot. Camera options on the Alcatel 1x include a 13-Megapixel primary/rear camera and an 8-Megapixel selfie/front facing camera with autofocus and flash.
Since the Alcatel 1x is powered by Android Oreo (Go Edition) it comes preinstalled with a suite of Google apps including the Google Go, Files Go, and Gmail Go. The operating system has been optimized to run apps on entry-level hardware and will be devoid of any custom UI overlays.
