Samsung has stealthily launched the J7 Prime 2 on its Indian website. Priced at Rs 13,990, the new Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is an upgrade to the Galaxy J7 Prime. The new device sports minor upgrades and adds some features like the capacitive buttons. That apart a majority of the specs on the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 remain unchanged and this also includes the RAM capacity and the storage.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 packs a 5.5-inch FHD display and is powered by an Exynos 7 chipset that is clocked at 1.6GHz and coupled with 3GB of RAM. As far as storage is concerned Samsung is offering 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB via the hybrid microSD card slot.
Imaging options on the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 include a single 13-Megapixel rear camera setup with LED flash and a 13-Megapixel selfie/front camera. The camera app offers AR stickers, instant share and instant editing option. Additionally, the camera offers Visual Search with the help of Samsung Mall. The Galaxy J7 Prime 2 runs on Android Nougat out of the box. The fingerprint sensor is baked into the home button. Design-wise, the Galaxy J2 Prime 2 looks identical to its predecessor.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is backed by a 3,300mAh battery that can be charged via micro USB port. At the time of writing this article, the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is being displayed as “out of stock.” The device is available in currently available in only Black, however, the Champagne Gold version is likely to be added later.
