Alongside the all-new Find X2 series, Oppo also unveiled its first smartwatch, foraying into the wearables. Dubbed Oppo Watch, the smartwatch comes with ECG functionality, watch VOOC charging, eSIM support, and is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC. Let’s dive in and look at its specifications in detail.
Oppo Watch: Design and Display
For starters, the Oppo Watch comes in two sizes: 41mm and 46mm, with minimal bezels around the display. The casing is made out of aluminum and features two buttons for navigation. There is 5ATM of dust and water resistance, allowing you to wear your watch while performing different physical activities. Talking about the display, the 41mm features a 1.6-inch display, while the 46mm model has a 1.9-inch display. Both variants feature curved AMOLED displays with 326 ppi pixel density and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support.
Oppo Watch: Performance
Under the hood, the Oppo Watch is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC, as already mentioned, which comes with the Apollo 3 co-processor. For connectivity, it offers eSIM support, making it easier to be used independently of the device it is connected to. To power the internals, there is a 300mAh battery on the 41mm variant and a bigger 430mAh battery on the 46mm model. Moreover, the watch supports VOOC fast-charging, which the company suggests charges the battery to 46% in just 15 minutes and to 100% in around 75 minutes. On the software front, the watch runs on Google’s Wear OS [likely, we are not sure yet] with Oppo’s custom ColorOS Watch running on top.
Talking about fitness tracking and other related features, the Watch comes with a range of fitness tracking options, in addition to sleep and heart rate tracking. Furthermore, there is also support for ECG capabilities on the watch that can come in handy to allow you to keep track of your heartbeat and rhythm.
Oppo Watch: Pricing and Availability
The Oppo Watch comes in two sizes: 41mm and 46mm, priced at 1499 (~ USD 216) CNY and 1999 CNY (~ USD 288) respectively.
