Xiaomi announces Mi TV Stick with Full HD Streaming and Voice Remote
Can stream 1080p at 60fps
At its global ecosystem event launch, Xiaomi announced a bunch of products for the European (and UK) market, Some of these products include the Mi Band 5, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic, Mi Curved Gaming Monitor, and Mi TV Stick, to name a few. Of these, the most exciting announcement is the introduction of all-new Mi TV Stick, which comes with Mi Voice Remote.
The Mi TV Stick has been subject to a lot of leaks for quite some time, and now that it is official, here are the specifications, features, and pricing for the same.
Mi TV Stick: Specifications and Features
To begin with, the Mi TV Stick follows a similar form factor as the popular Fire TV Stick from Amazon. It weighs in at 28.5g and has a pocketable size. At its core, the device has an octa-core Cortex A53 processor (with ARM Mali-450 GPU) running under the hood. Assisting the processor is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. For connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2. As for other specifications, the Mi TV Stick can play content in 1080p at 60fps and comes with Dolby Audio and DTS sound. It supports various audio and video formats. Talking about ports, the device comes with 1x HDMI and 1x micro-USB port.
One the software front, the device runs on Android TV and includes support for Chromecast. Moreover, it also brings support for Google Assistant with a dedicated hotkey on the remote. Talking of which, the Bluetooth remote has quick-access keys for Prime Video and Netflix. It’s interesting that Xiaomi has restricted the Mi TV Stick streaming to 1080p instead of 4K like on the Mi TV Box 4K.

Mi TV Stick: Pricing and Availability
The Mi TV Stick comes in only one color option: Black. It is priced at €39.99 (~ $46 / Rs 3,455). As for availability, the company is yet to reveal the details for the same.
