Xiaomi has today added yet another (and probably the last) member in its Redmi Note 9 series. Called the Redmi Note 9T, the smartphone is now official globally. It seems to be a global variant of the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China and comes with 5G connectivity and a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset.

Redmi Note 9T: Display
The Redmi Note 9T features a unibody 3D curved back and is said to be fingerprint-free and splash-free. Towards the front, it has a 6.53-inch FHD+ display. The display has a dot notch up top to house the front-facing camera. In addition, it also has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. Redmi 9T comes in two colorways: Daybreak Purple and Nightfall Black.
Redmi Note 9T: Performance
In terms of processing capabilities, the Redmi Note 9T has a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset running at its core. Dimensity 800 is an octa-core processor, built on the 7nm manufacturing process, with an integrated 5G modem. It offers up to 2.4GHz of clock speeds and has the Mali-G57 GPU to handle all the graphics demands. Assisting the processor is of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. And lastly, there is a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support to power the internals.
Talking about other specifications, the phone includes support for 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. Besides, there are dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication, and an audio jack. On the software front, the Redmi Note 9T runs on MIUI 12 out of the box.
Redmi Note 9T: Camera
As for cameras, the Redmi Note 9T sports a triple-camera array on the rear along with an LED flash. The setup offers a 48MP (f/1.79) primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. On the front, it has a single 13MP shooter for selfies.
Alongside the Redmi Note 9T, Xiaomi has also announced another smartphone, the Redmi 9T. The Redmi 9T comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display and is available in four colors: Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunlight Orange, and Ocean Green. It runs on a Snapdragon 662 processor and includes a 6000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi Note 9T comes in two variants: 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB, priced at €229 and €269, respectively. It will be available starting January 11. On the other hand, the Redmi 9T starts at €159 and will go on sale starting February.
