ChatGPT – All-in-One Assistant

If there is one app that I would recommend everyone install on their smartphone, regardless of their career stage, it is ChatGPT. I call ChatGPT an Einstein, and it can replace most of the existing apps on your smartphone.

To put it simply, ChatGPT can be all your personal assistant, answering your questions, helping you plan your day, and also making you understand complex concepts easily. Like your personalized AI tutor, it can also help you learn things quickly and grow in your career.

chatGPT personal AI assistant

The benefits of ChatGPT are endless; it has solved my biggest problem. When I was a student before exams, we used to hire an online guide to explain complex topics. It is not only expensive, but it’s a one-size-fits-all lesson where the guide explains concepts to the entire group. This is where ChatGPT completely changed the way we learn complex concepts for free.

ChatGPT can help you understand your learning style and explain the concept based on your learning style, which is a true game-changer and has significantly improved my grades, and also helped me to secure a good grade in the final exams.

The best and the biggest part of ChatGPT is not just helping you with AI. It can also help you to generate a to-do list for tomorrow, all thanks to the recent memory features. Now ChatGPT can remember every interaction that you have with the chat, so that it can it will have more context about you and what you are doing.

I use ChatGPT for almost every task in my life. I sometimes prefer Google Gemini because, with real-time information, it is more accurate.

Now just that you can also use ChatGPT to learn new skills. For instance, I’m currently going through a 100-day Product Management challenge where each day I track with ChatGPT and learn new skills with real-world examples.

Not just those two, the possibilities of using ChatGPT are endless. You can draft professional emails, polish LinkedIn bios, create reports, and fix grammar in your project reports.

Another big advantage of ChatGPT is that it can tailor your resume based on the job you are applying for. You can upload your resume to ChatGPT and the job description, and create a personalized resume for the job. You can also enhance and fix your mistakes in your resume with the help of AI.

Reddit – Be Part of Real Human Communities

While ChatGPT and other AI tools can enhance your learning skills and knowledge, real human interaction still plays a crucial role in getting real-world insights.

This is where I believe you need to join an online community to help a creator gain insights into what you are doing, and also insights from experienced people who are already in this field.

There are plenty of online forums, but the Reddit app stands out at the top because of its massive active user base. You can instantly search and connect to the topic-specific comments, which Reddit calls subreddits, and you can instantly connect to people in similar careers, and the best part is that you get access to real human interactions.

Reddit for jobs

The recent memory feature in major AI tools has offered the empathy of understanding problems, but there is nothing that can beat human interactions. You not only get the answers while you are staying in a community.

You can find any community you want on Reddit, whether related to students, jobs, or mentors. If you are getting the college career guide or connecting with the professionals, and if you talk to any of them, you can also ask questions and get answers from real people.

To do list app

There are plenty of Todoist task apps available for both Android and iPhone. We have a dedicated list of to-do list apps, and you can even create your own to-do list for yourself using the AI builder.

If you want a simple app to get started, a to-doist app is my favorite, and I use it personally along with my Notion to-do list, which I have built on my own. It can keep track of all the tasks you are taking and organize time based on priorities, which can help you to focus on the most important, and also track your progress.

Topmate

There are plenty of free consultations. 1:1 consultations are very helpful, especially if you are a student or you’re getting started. You don’t want to spend your money up front. There is a trick to finding free consultations on Topmate. First, Google and follow this link, followed by the type of professional expert you’re seeking.

From here, you can find a specific one-on-one session or book a video call with the mentor and add a one-on-one session. Pocketnow: Keep All Your Sources in One Place

If you are a student and you are on your job hunt and applying to jobs, saving them and remembering to apply to them is the biggest task. I have been in this situation, and I always wished for an app that could help me store and track all those job applications. Fortunately, there are plenty of apps that can help you do that.

Pocketnow app

The Pocket is my favorite out of all those. It is available on all major platforms, including macOS, Windows, and even as a Google Chrome extension. Roadmap.sh – Roadmap for Developers

The world revolves around tech, and there is no question that all the developer roles are currently in high demand, with many job openings across the industries. Due to this, many professionals are choosing developer and tech-based roles, which are often among the highest-paying jobs, and it is also a more flexible job for some people compared to other options.

Roadmap

While there are plenty of resources for developers to learn and code, it is still easy to feel lost with so many courses, tutorials, and skills available online. So this is where a curated list like a structured learning path can come in handy, which can help you to get started and also keep you learning without getting overwhelmed by different options.

There are plenty of roadmaps you can use, such as directly asking ChatGPT to generate your roadmap, but you can also use a roadmap. It has been my top priority, especially for software development, since it has been around for a while. It offers detailed developer roadmaps and is now even updated with the latest tech stacks such as AI, Agents, and more, which makes it an even better option for beginners or advanced users who are getting started with learning programming.

Not just that, you can also keep track of your progress from the website itself, which is super handy. While roadmap is not an app, it is a website, but it offers an app-like experience with one of the best user interfaces you will ever see on websites. If you are someone who is getting started with a new programming language, this is a site that you have to bookmark in your browser.

No matter how much skillset you have, staying updated with the industry trends and company updates, and the job market can help you to stay ahead of your career and quickly spot opportunities. So there are plenty of resources that you can rely on, but there is one app that I would recommend for everyone, not just someone who wants to keep track of their industry.

Feeed news aggregator app

Feeed is a news aggregator that lets you add all the free news resources and get all the websites from a single place. It is the most underrated app because it has one of the best user interfaces on any news aggregator app, when compared to Feedly, and it is also free to use with completely zero ads.

Google Notebook LLM – Your Smart Research Assistant

Started as a side project from Google Notebooks, LLM has quickly gained attention, and now they have announced an app. If you have never heard of Google Notebook LLM, it is an AI-powered note-taking and research assistant that lets you organise, summarise, and get insight from your notes.

The best part of the app is the interactive mind maps, which are generated from the sources you have uploaded. And along with that, there is an audio overview feature which converts any source or the document you uploaded into a podcast conversation. It not only offers deep, real insights, but also you can upskill yourself while you are working or traveling. You can also download your conversation and add it to your podcast list.

Google Notebook LLM app coming soon

The best part of Google Notebook LLM is that you can convert any source into a mind map and or any source into an audio overview, including the sources of YouTube videos, web links, documents, and also your research papers. Story Shots – Read Book Summaries Quickly

Story shots app

Finally, ending the list with my favourite app, StoryShots, which is a book summary app that lets you quickly get the key points of any book. I know these apps don’t replace the experience of reading a physical book.

However, if you are someone who wants to quickly learn key insights from books in your industry, these apps can be a great option. You can even bookmark, highlight, and save the important points later, and recall them.
