Returnil Virtual System 2010 Home Lux is an unique security software which uses a combination of antivirus, anti-malware and a virtual system to protect your computer from all types of viruses and malicious threats.
While mainstream security vendors continue to fight a losing battle against malware, Returnil has taken a completely different approach to security. It clones (copies) your operating system and creates a virtual environment for your PC. 1. Virus Guard (Antivirus) – The Virus guard is capable of detecting and removing malware and other malicious threats. It also has an on-demand system scan feature.
2. System Safe (Virtual System) – It clones/copies the operating system and runs the cloned copy in a virtual machine. It allows easy on-the-fly real-time system protection and reduces the need for routine disk defragmentation.
3. File Manager – File Manager lets you save or commit changes to individual files and folders while System Safe is ON. You don’t need to worry that your changes will be lost with restart.
4. Virtual Disk – It can create and mount the alternate virtual disk/partition. Saved files and other data will be retained after a restart.
5. Message Center – Get to know when there are any malware infections detected. Also, reminders of activation code expiry date and other important messages will be shown.
The Returnil user interface is nicely laid out and intuitive to use. All of the features like Virus Guard, System Safe, and other Tools are easy to work with from the main menu. RVS 2010 Home Lux works with Windows 7 as well. It is light-weight, fast and ran smoothly without any noticeable lag when I used it on my 3GB RAM dual core processor notebook.
Personally, I like the concept of creating a virtual system to keep away the risk of getting affected from malware and viruses. But for novice and technically challenged people, the whole thing might sound complex and tough.
It works on 32 & 64 bit versions of XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008 and Windows 7.

This one is not a contest, everyone wins a free license
First of all, thanks for a great promotion … have heard great things about Returnil products but never used one before, so I decided to test this one. Downloading, installing, registering all went smoothly … but once the program started its initial scan, it wreaked havoc on several of my time-tested apps, either quarantining them as malware or just refusing to let them run at all. These are programs I’ve used regularly for at least several months and which have been cleared by every other antivirus/antimalware product I have … it was particularly hard on copy utilities such as TeraCopy (which was quarantined immediately) and Microsoft’s RichCopy which was prevented from starting even though it was not in the quarantine list. I had to use System Restore to reverse everything and now my other apps work well again .. of course Returnil no longer works, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. I may try it on another computer later, but I’m not in any hurry to put it back on my main desktop machine again.
I don’t know why I miss this one.
Please count me in if it still open!
BTW, I’ve been using the similar program, Comodo Time Machine.
It’s still BETA, but works great on my PC.
