Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Running Shoes with Intel Chip Launched at $44
Xiaomi has now launched a new pair of smart sports footwear under its Mijia brand. The company is calling it as the Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Running Shoes. This, apparently, is the second time Xiaomi has come up with sports footwear. Previously, the company had jointly launched a smart shoe in collaboration with renowned Chinese sports equipment brand Li-Ning.
Externally, the Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Running Shoes from Mijia looks just any other ordinary shoe. That said, the main features that distinguish it from the rest are its ability to count your workout and walking details. The smart shoes can track your steps, distance covered, calories burnt, speed etc. It can also automatically detect whether you are running, walking or climbing. And it can do all these due to the presence of a small button sized Intel Curie chip located inside the sole of the footwear. This chip can last up to 90 days on a single charge.
The Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Running Shoes is developed in China by Shanghai Runmi Technology Co. Ltd. Xiaomi claims that its smart shoes have been designed keeping in minds the needs of the athletes.
The footwear uses a foam like material on the body to act as a cushion which soaks in the impact generated when your foot hits the ground during a running session. The sole of Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Running Shoes comes with anti-skid wear and an arch support balance sheet. That aside, it comes with air cushions and an antibacterial removable insole.
The Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sports Shoes comes in a black and surf blue color option for males. There’s also a blue special edition variant that features luminous material to make the runner visible to motorists and passersby at night. Women, on the other hand, would need to choose between a black and a pink variant. It is priced at 299 Yuan (Rs 2,889/$43 approx.) and is now available for pre-orders on the Mijia platform.
